New York State Director
Aaron Gladd is the New York State Director of Northeast Charter Schools Network. Previously, he served as the Deputy Director of Policy to Governor Andrew Cuomo where he coordinated the development and management of policy across New York State. Prior to joining the Governor’s staff, Aaron served on active duty as a Platoon Leader in the United States Army where he served in the 1st Cavalry Division, including a deployment overseas to Afghanistan. Before enlisting in the service, Aaron ran legislative and budget operations in the New York State Senate under the Deputy Leader and was a New York State Senate Graduate Fellow. Aaron also worked for U.S. Congressman Michael McNulty.
A native of Saranac Lake, Aaron holds a Bachelors in Arts in Public Law from the University at Albany, a Master’s in Public Administration in Local Government Management and Finance from the Nelson Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy, and is a graduate of the United States Army Infantry School and the United States Army Engineer School. He lives in Brunswick with his wife, Samantha, and their two children, Aliyah and Carson.
