ADVISORY: Charter school leaders to share schools’ good work with lawmakers at Capitol for Charter Awareness Day
Hartford, CT – This Wednesday, the Northeast Charter Schools Network is hosting its first annual Charter Awareness Day at the State Capitol. Throughout the day, leaders from each Connecticut public charter school in the state will be sharing the good work of their schools with elected leaders.
At noon, the leaders will gather at Nathan Hale Hall in the Capitol to present three elected leaders with the first annual Torchbearer Awards. NECSN’s Torchbearer Awards are given to state leaders who do exceptional work on behalf of charter school children.
WHO: Public charter school leaders from every charter in Connecticut.
WHAT: Meet and greet state leaders all day, and an awards presentation at noon.
WHEN: Wednesday, May 13, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Awards ceremony at 12:30 p.m.
WHERE: Legislative Office Building and Nathan Hale Hall at the state Capitol.
