Teacher Voice Debate
I'll keep this post short, because if this issue evolves like it did last week, there were be about a dozen updates before the sun sets today. But, Eduwonk responds to last week's back-and-forth over whether teacher voice was absent from a panel on unions at the annual New Schools Venture Fund pow-wow. He describes the horror in detail, saying he's now in healing mode and looking forward to the next teachers union convention where they include the views of various critics on their panels.
UPDATE: This space was intentionally reserved for Leo Casey's inevitable response, which can be found here, along with a weary teacher's take on the matter.
UPDATE II: NYC Educator complains (among other things) that his dues money is paying for the UFT's end of this cyberspat.
