Recently, several of the Brown v. New York charter funding lawsuit parent plaintiffs, and Buffalo charter school leaders had the chance to meet Assemblywoman Crystal Peoples-Stokes (D-Buffalo) at her annual gala at the Buffalo Museum of Science.

A major part of NECSN’s advocacy is to provide opportunities to connect parents and school leaders with their elected officials who represent them in Albany. This was one such opportunity and we are thrilled that the parents and educators from Buffalo could meet their Assembly Member.

We thank Assemblywoman Peoples-Stokes, parents Russell and Tammy Bell and Denise Stevens, Gizelle Stokes of King Center Charter School, Jim Neimeier of South Buffalo Charter School, and John Sheffield of Elmwood Village Charter School for a wonderful evening!
