Buffalo Charter Schools to Hold Community Day of Celebration

Buffalo’s charter schools will hold a community day of celebration on Saturday, April 16 at St. John Baptist Church.

ADVISORY: BUFFALO CHARTER SCHOOLS TO HOLD COMMUNITY DAY OF CELEBRATION 

Buffalo, NY – Buffalo’s charter schools will hold a community day of celebration on Saturday, April 16 at St. John Baptist Church. This event will serve as an opportunity for parents to speak directly with staff from the city’s charter school community and will give them a chance to fill out applications for their kids. There will also be a voter registration drive as well as free food, music, and entertainment.

Participating schools include:

Aloma D. Johnson Charter School
Charter School for Inquiry
Oracle Charter School
King Center Charter
Health Sciences Charter School
South Buffalo Charter School
Elmwood Village Charter School
West Buffalo Charter School
Buffalo Academy of Science Charter School
Western New York Maritime (drill team to perform)

The event is being co-hosted by the Urban League Young Professionals and Friendship Baptist Church.

WHO: Buffalo Charter Schools, Northeast Charter Schools Network, and charter supporters including Buffalo Urban League Young Professionals who will be holding a voter registration drive and Say Yes for Ed who will be sharing scholarship information.
