Next Thursday, November 5, the Northeast Charter Schools Network (NECSN) is hosting the first-ever Impact of Charter Schools panel discussion on at Highville Charter School in New Haven.

ADVISORY: CT CHARTER SCHOOLS GATHERING THURSDAY TO DISCUSS WHAT IS WORKING AND WHAT THEY CAN IMPROVE 

New Haven, CT – Next Thursday, November 5, the Northeast Charter Schools Network (NECSN) is hosting the first-ever Impact of Charter Schools panel discussion on at Highville Charter School in New Haven.

This free event is open to the public and is intended to bring the community together for an open and honest dialogue about charter schools’ successes and challenges. Two panel discussions will be moderated by President and CEO of the National Association of Public Charter Schools Nina Rees and President of the Connecticut Parents Union Gwen Samuel. One panel will consist of charter school leaders from across the state, while the other will have current charter school parents and students.

The discussion will dive into how public charter schools’ students perform academically, and how charters meet the social and emotional needs of children and families.
