State Charter Association Responds to NYC City Hall’s New Approach to Charter Schools

Albany, NY – The Northeast Charter Schools Network today sent the following statement in response to NYC City Hall's new approach to charter schools.

Northeast Charter Schools Network New York State Director Andrea Rogers said, “Today's announcement shows progress in how charters are treated by City Hall. It's a step forward but more work remains if we are going to satisfy parent demand. It's incumbent on lawmakers to establish equitable facilities and funding policies that are fair to all public school children."

About the Northeast Charter Schools Network: The Northeast Charter Schools Network is the membership and advocacy organization for the more than 250 charter schools in New York and Connecticut. Its mission is to support and expand high quality charter schools.
