Senior Associate Director of Policy - Connecticut
Most recently she served as the Vice President of Advocacy and Policy at the 50-State Campaign for Achievement Now. Prior to 50CAN she was Director of Research and Policy for ConnCAN, and also served as a board member at Booker T. Washington Academy Charter School in New Haven. Before her work at ConnCAN, Yam was a community organizer for Love Makes a Family, where she led grassroots organizing efforts in support of marriage equality in Connecticut. A previous 20-plus year resident of the state and graduate of Connecticut public schools, Yam received degrees from the University of Connecticut School of Law and Johns Hopkins University.
